The Aleppo Quake is one of the worst Earth Quakes recorded in History, known to be the Fourth Deadliest.  It started October 11, 1138.  At first it was a small shock but then the following day the big quake happened.

Aleppo is in northern Syria,  a farley warm place that is on the boundry of the Arabian geologic plate and the African plate.  and is also part of the dead sea fault system.

The city suffered great damages, The Citadel collapsed, a Citadel is a huge castle was built for security.  Many were killed because of it collapsing. A estimated 230,000 people were killed.
